I just wanted to thank you again for your wonderful article extending my gratitude and thanks to those rescuers who brought me down Tumbledown Mountain just about two and a half weeks ago.

One of the rescuers, in his comments, mentioned that they don’t often hear from those they’ve helped in the past and I thought that this picture would help illustrate my recovery thus far; taken this past Sunday at Wolfe’s Neck Farm and their Annual Harvest Dinner, this year catered by Union located in the splendid Press Hotel in Portland.

While I realize that this picture might not garner the sympathy I have been…eh…enjoying the past two weeks – my wife Liz and I look too happy and healthy (we generally are) – I’m told it will take 6-12 weeks for my cracked pelvis to heal (without surgery!).

So while I am not out of the woods just yet, literally but not figuratively, I am on the road to wellness.

Thought you’d like to know.

Best regards,
Jay Levine
