Letter to the Editor: Janet Mills for governor

1 min read

Janet Mills as governor will continue working for health care to keep all workers productive, and all school students paying full attention to their studies, and their families well.

There are so many health problems that can spoil a person’s day.

No excuse for making people go without guaranteed health care.

  1. And in her spare time she will help you find a cure for cancer Roger. Keep dreaming!!!!

  2. And who is going to fund this? Health care? Nurse Practioners and Physician’s Assistants? Want to be doctors? 2 years of education and they can save the world? 8 years to become a MD and they no nothing? Wishful thinking on your part Roger?

  3. You really can’t blame doctors and teachers for wanting to keep their guaranteed income no matter how well they perform…..Pretty sad though

  4. Jason: “they no nothing?” Totally! You obviously know what you’re talking about and everyone else is just fake news.
CP: That same comment can be made about the very richest Americans and Corporations who just made major self benefiting tax cuts and increased the national debt by borrowing over two trillion more than we need. Who do you think is paying the difference? While we are on the subject of difference I would like you to know why someone chooses to be in the medical or educational field? Is it for the ” guaranteed income no matter how well they perform”? Careful, that’s a slippery slope since we can hold every CEO, Employer, Governor, and President… to that same standard. Anyone who chooses to serve at ground level in our communities has a long lasting effect and I can guarantee that it’s not just for it for the paycheck. Although a paycheck is a necessity in a capitalist society since those same people probably have hefty student loans, families, bills.. Doctors and Educators are subjected to multiple assessment and review processes in which they can be terminated at any point if they are not performing. The problem we face today is not weather to fund education and health. The problem we face a Nation is when the CP’s tribal political motive belittle the necessity education and personal health in the lives of our the very citizens who will be the ones who make a difference. CP: What do you do to help your community? (Other than rally against community education and health). How does your self-righteous and privileged viewpoint help if it comes from the perspective that; if you are not instantly educated or cured by a Dr or Teacher then it’s their fault? Education and health is a personal investment becasue there is no magic wand that a Teacher or Dr. can inject to make you educated and healthy, it’s a personal choice to invest in oneself but oh how easy it is to make the wrong choice in our consumption based market. Maybe it’s time we work together as a community to Make the U.S.of A. Citizens Greater through self determined hard work, education, and healthy choices to prevent the need for excessive or consumption based health issues.

  5. Let’s just call you uneducated for short. Did you really say an employer or CEO has guaranteed income? Apparently you’ve never dared to venture into your own business, if so you’d probably figure out income isn’t guaranteed. Doctors and teachers on the other hand have to really screw up before their income is in jeopardy. I was only trying to say it would be crazy for a doctor to be against socialized health care or a teacher to be anti-union.
