‘The Giving Tree’ took the best float award.

Many, many thanks to all who came out to support the Rangeley Lakes Region Logging Museum’s 34th Annual Festival and Parade! It was a spectacular weekend, the weather was superb (always a blessing), and it was by far the most folks we’ve ever had in attendance. A grand success for sure!

We wish to sincerely thank Yankee Magazine for putting us on the map throughout the New England area by voting the Logging Festival and Parade “One of the Top 20 Events in Maine.” We were presented by a truly meaningful certificate of award from the State of Maine by Senator, Tom Saviello for being recognized in the New England area by Yankee Magazine – our first!

Our winners in the Logging Parade are: Best Float – The Giving Tree. Tied for “Most Appropriate to Logging” – The White Family with Muscles Three AND Saddleview Farm with Beth Flynn and Allyson Steward for their horse logging entry.

RLRLM members are already in the planning stages for next year’s “35th Logging Festival and Parade” that will surely be the largest parade ever in Rangeley. Please be assured that the shuttle buses WILL RETURN – huge mistake in that area of planning and we certainly took note.

The Logging Museum’s hours will change beginning on Labor Day to 11 to 4 p.m. Be sure to stop on by and view the many new additions to the Museum, both inside exhibits and our new facelift! For more information, please visit www.rlrlm.org or contact us at (207) 864-3939.
