CARRABASSETT VALLEY – On Sunday, March 15, Carrabassett Valley Academy freestyle program director Nathan Mckenzie will offer a free big mountain training day at Sugarloaf Mountain. The day will consist of training and instruction around big mountain competitive skiing while exploring Sugarloaf’s backcountry terrain.
“This training day will be a great opportunity for young skiers who want to learn more about competitive big mountain skiing,” said McKenzie. “At the end of the day we will also have an information session for parents.”
The free program is for skiers eight years of age or older and will be held 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Those interested should contact Nathan McKenzie at 207-441-4759 for more information or to reserve a spot. Registration will be first-come first-serve and restricted to only eight participants.
