Local wine production featured at Franklin County Soil & Water Conservation District event

FARMINGTON – This year will be the 71st for Franklin County Soil & Water Conservation District serving the communities and people of Franklin County. A celebration of the years will be held on Friday, April 5 at 5 p.m. at the Farmington Community Center on Middle Street.

The event includes a buffet dinner and award ceremony followed by a great presentation by Patty Cormier. She will give a presentation about growing grapes in a hoop house to make wine as a by-product. Samples will be available for tasting for registered guests ages 21 and older.

To register for the evening simply call to sign up for the meal. Those who wish to take part in the wine tasting should stop by our 107 Park Street office in Farmington to sign up. The wine taste will be $15 per adult. Anyone is welcome to register at the door as long as we have room.
