WILTON – The members of the Wilton Fish & Game Assoc. are inviting the public to visit the facility at 240 US Route 2 in Wilton on Saturday, August 6. The club members are busy with preparations for a very busy day during the Blueberry Festival.

Members are asking festival visitors to stop by their booth downtown on Friday or Saturday with questions about membership to the association. While you’re there, why not take a chance on a .308 Caliber Winchester/7.62 X 51mm, manufactured and donated by Windham Weaponry? Tickets for the annual fundraiser and wall of guns will also be available.

Come meet Game Warden Kris MacCabe. He will be at the Wilton Fish & Game with the MDIFW Operation Game Thief Trailer through out the day.

The WF&G will be holding their annual fundraising event. Test your shooting skill with the shooting gallery, shoot a Gatling Gun, or try the 1-Shot Gun Challenge. 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. There will be several new shooting events. Basic Compound Bow Archery will be available for young and old to try under the direction of Ashley McCormick, a certified instructor. (9 a.m. – 1 p.m.). At 1 p.m. Will Sampson will be demonstrating how to build a bow with his extensive experience.

Bring your own ammo/ shotgun/eye & ear protection and shoot trap with Charlie.( 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.)

Hot dogs and hamburgers will be provided by the youth shooting league.

The Wilton Fish & Game Assoc. holds their meetings at 6:30 p.m. on the third Sunday of each month. Please stop by at our booth downtown or at the clubhouse. We’d be happy to speak to you about our activities.
