ArtBIKE combines cycling, artwork in Kingfield Friday afternoon

1 min read

KINGFIELD – This Friday evening, Aug. 1, is the next in the summer series of Artwalks in Kingfield – an event called ArtBIK.

Held from 5-8 PM this Artwalk celebrates cycling creativity and encourages everyone who has a bike and likes to ride it, to ride from venue to venue. As always, there will be plenty of art and crafts on display. All venues are open to the public and all will serve refreshments, free of charge.

This Artwalk, however, just to shake it up a bit – will also have lots of bikes. You are encouraged to decorate your bike – add balloons, streamers, cards with clothespins, and join the celebration. Remember: please wear a helmet, ride with automobile traffic, obey traffic laws and always ride at a safe speed!

All venues will be open for cycling (and non-cycling) visitors: The High Peaks Artisans Guild, Mountain Village Gallery, The Schoolhouse Gallery, CSM Real Estate, Grand Central Station and the Ski Museum of Maine. The Stanley Museum will not be open during this ArtBIKE Artwalk, but please be sure to visit the Museum, open most days during the week. There will be live music at Rolling Fatties during ArtBIKE – so come to the village, via bike, and join the continuing celebration of summer in Kingfield.
