Beavers silenced by Hawks in non-conference action

LEICESTER, Mass. – The University of Maine at Farmington men’s lacrosse team was outmatched in a, 21-1, showing by Becker College on Sunday afternoon in non-conference play at Alumni Field.

Despite only having five shots on the goal, Cameron McAllister (Yarmouth, Maine) was able to beat Becker goalie Brandon Hill with under three minutes left in regulation. After the Beavers forced a turnover, Tom McGowan (Windham, Maine) passed inside to McAllister who netted his fourth goal of the season.

Becker’s Daniel Johnson, Blake Boutiette, and Matthew Genkos led the Hawk’s attack with three goals apiece.

Joseph Maldonado (Fresno, CA) saved 15 shots on the day and recorded his fourth straight game with at least 10 saves.

Farmington plays its second to last non-conference matchup at the University of Southern Maine on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
