Beavers Silenced by Terriers; Shutout 5-0

FARMINGTON – The University of Maine at Farmington men’s soccer team (1-13-1) gave fell, 5-0, against Thomas on Wednesday night.

UMF surrendered three of the five-second half goals within a six minute span.

The Terriers took the lead in the 57th minute when Dakota Duplissie scored his conference-leading 13th goal after the assist from Simon Hagelin. Thomas added to their lead three minutes later as Tre Ming scored the game’s second goal as off a Duplissie assist. William Nilson gave the Terriers a 3-0 advantage in the 63rd minute after Ming recorded an assist of his own. Max Hansson and Lukas Bohman added the final goals of the game in the 80th and 81st minute.

Matt Wilson saved nine shots for the Beavers. Winston Trott saved all four shots for Thomas that came his way.

UMF will return home on Saturday as the Beavers host New England College for a 2:30pm start.
