FARMINGTON – The Farmington Area Cal Ripken League ended the season on Saturday, June 18 at Hippach Field in Farmington with the championship games for their major and minor divisions.

The undefeated Hawks played against the Wilton Giants and ended the game with a win 5-2 in the 6th inning. The Hawks are coached by Jason Briggs, Jody Meader, Eric Walsh and Bob Samson. The players are Chandler Briggs, Eben Barker, Jet Decker, Gavin Karkos, Cole Sillanpaa, Brody Walsh, Bradford Couture, Elijah Craig, Ryker Samson, Haisen Foster, Tyler Welch and Jayden Meader. The team was sponsored by Hammond Lumber, J&K Builders, Meader Construction, Douin’s Market, Pitcher Perfect Tire, Dead River Company, Dutch Gap Auto, The Falls General Store, Goings Electric, Pine Tree Cellular and Weber Insurance.

The undeated Black Bears played against the Jay Royals and ended the game with a 4-3 win in the 6th inning. The Black Bears are coached by John Beaudoin, Niki Fulton-Greenlaw, Mike Greenlaw and Beth Beaudoin. The players are: Trenton Beaudoin, Nolan Cummings, Gage Decarolis, Preston Ball, JJ Greenlaw, Aiden Wilkins, Maddy Cote, Steven Galkowski, Nick Welch and Nolan Leso.The team was sponsored by Black Bear Graphics and University Credit Union.

Congratulations to the Hawks and Black Bears and to the rest of the teams that played hard in the finals last week, it was a great season!
