Girls Basketball: Edward Little edges Mt. Blue, 51-42

AUBURN – The Mt. Blue High School girls varsity basketball team came within 2 points late in the game, but it wasn’t enough, ending in a 51-42 Edward Little win Tuesday night.

Edward Little got off to a quick lead by scoring 14 points to Mt. Blue’s 6 points. Back and forth buckets brought Mt. Blue within 2 points at the end of the 4th quarter before Edward Little was able to pull away.

Mt. Blue’s Addie Brinkman contributed 8 rebounds with 11 points and Eryn Doiron had 5 rebounds and 14 points to her credit.

Mt. Blue’s regular season record stands at 1-1 and Edward Little at 2-1.

In the junior varsity game, Edward Little’s Grace Beaudet, Piper Norcross and Karli Stubbs each scored in the double digits for a 48-12 win over Mt. Blue.

Mt. Blue freshmen team struggled as well as a stronger Edward Little team won 32-16.
