TOPSHAM – Mt. Blue’s girls varsity basketball team notched another win for 2-1 overall season record after beating Mt. Ararat 59-35 Thursday night.
Mt. Blue’s Caitlin Kane led all scorers with 18 points, along with 7 steals and 5 assists. Eryn Doiron added 7 points, 7 steals, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. Mackenzie Harris contributed 12 points.
Mt. Ararat’s Allison Melcher was the top scorer with 9 points, Nikki Bradstreet had 8 and Lauren Sturgess, Sara Lamb and Kate Guerin each contributed 6 points.
Mt. Blue plays Brewer at home on Saturday with the first game beginning at 10 a.m.
Mt. Blue’s junior varsity team also had a good night against Mt. Ararat, winning their game 28-21.
Mt. Blue’s leading scorers were: Hannah LeClair with 11 points, 5 steals, 5 rebounds; Kayleigh Fontaine had 7 points, 4 steals, 4 rebounds and Taylor Burke with 9 rebounds.
