Humphrey leads UMF women’s Track and Field at Colby Invitational

WATERVILLE, Maine – University of Maine at Farmington women’s track and field junior Bridget Humphrey (Jefferson, Maine/Erskine Academy) had four top 10 in finishes on Saturday at the Colby Invitational.

Humphrey came in second place in the high jump and discus throw events. She leaped 1.52 meters in the high jump and tossed her discus 33.06 meters. The junior also had a solid outing in the shot put and 200-meter dash. Humphrey placed third overall in the shot put event at 9.97 meters. In the 200-meter dash, she crossed the line at 29.12 for a seventh place finish.

Molly Menice (Monmouth, Maine/Monmouth Academy) won the javelin throw for the Beavers with a score of 31.77 meters. Morgan Crocker (Boothbay, Maine/Boothbay Region) also won the triple jump event at 10.12 meters and came in fourth place in the long jump at 4.96 meters.

Laura Pulito (Brownfield, Maine/Fryeburg Academy) placed third in the 1500-meter run at 5:03.00.

UMF will compete at the Holy Cross Heptathlon/Decathlon on Wednesday and Thursday.
