Men’s Basketball: Beavers fall to Owls in non-conference action

FARMINGTON – The University of Maine at Farmington men’s basketball team (0-2) fell in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon with a 63-40 loss to the University of Maine at Presque Isle (2-1) at Dearborn Gymnasium.

Nick Hilton (Wilton, Maine/Mt. Blue) scored a team-high 15 points and made both attempted shots from beyond the arc. Anfernee Dent (Jackson, Miss./Daegu) added seven points, four rebounds, and a steal off the bench.

The Owls had three starters score in double figures with Chase Vicaire leading the way with a game-high 17 points. Vicaire shot 7-of-13 from the field and 3-of-5 from long-range. Maurice Harris had a double-double with 12 points and 10 points. Kevin Collins also charted 12 points.

UMF completes the final game of a three-game home stand on Monday against Saint Joseph’s College at 7:30 p.m.
