FARMINGTON – University of Maine at Farmington men’s lacrosse (0-11, 0-8) dropped the home finale on Monday afternoon with a 9-5 North Atlantic Conference loss to Thomas College (2-8, 2-6) at Prescott Field.

A first half hat trick by Travis St. Pierre (Sebago, Maine/Mountain Valley) could not stop the Beavers from overcoming an early 4-0 hole. UMF kept it within striking distance at the break only trailed 7-3.

UMF charted two goals in the final period as Nicholas D’Aleo (Plymouth, N.H./Plymouth Regional) scored his first-career goal and Justin Roberge (Sanford, Maine/Sanford) contributed his fourth goal of the season in the final minute of the game.

Caleb Carr (Augusta, Maine/Cony) made 14 saves between the pipes for the Beavers.

Thomas’ Jacob Kendall matched St. Pierre with a hat trick of his own. Bryan Ferris and Parker Chute added two goals apiece and combined to dish three assists.

UMF will travel to Thomas on Wednesday for a non-conference showdown in the regular season finale.
