AUBURN – The Mt. Blue High School boys placed six runners among the top 11 finishers to easily capture the Second Seven championship in Auburn on Tuesday.
Trevayne Jackson sprinted to victory touring the 5K course in 18:42. Jon Lesko and Jesse Dalton took 3rd and 4th with identical times of 19:22. The Cougars clinched the meet thanks to the finishes of Ethan Mcintosh (8th), Ian Burke (9th), and Hunter Hutchins (11th).
In addition, seniors Sawyer Zundel and Bryce Thomas closed out their seasons running lifetime bests.
The Cougar girls did not have enough finishers to score as a team, but got lifetime bests from Annaset Jackson, Beth Nichols, and Makenzie Seaward, who finished within a 10 second span in places 17, 18, and 20.
