Mt. Blue girls roll to 10th win

FARMINGTON – The Mt. Blue High School girls basketball team won its 10th game Thursday evening, toppling an 11-4 Edward Little team on the back of another excellent offensive effort.

Leading scorer for MBHS was Caitlin Kane with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals, with Eryn Doiron adding 10 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds, and Addie Brinkman contributing 12 points and 4 blocks. The team shot 30 for 35 from the line.

The final score was 61 to 45, with Mt. Blue improving to 10 and 5 on the season.

The junior varsity team lost, 51 to 33, to go 2 and 13 on the season. Hannah LeClair led the local team with 13 points and 6 rebounds, with Leah St. Laurent adding 12 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Kasadie Barker put up 6 rebounds.

The freshman team squeaked out a victory, 36 to 35, to go 4 and 4 on the season. Leading scorers included Jocelyn Daggett, with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals; Erika Mcarther, with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals; and Emma Haines with 6 points and 7 rebounds.
