Mt Blue’s track teams place second

SOUTH PARIS – In the second track meet of the season held on Thursday Mt. Blue High School placed second competing against Leavitt, Edward Little, and Oxford Hills. Mt. Blue girls’ team scored a total of 56 points while the boys’ team scored 80 points.

Nine athletes took first place for Mt. Blue: Ivy Enoch in the 1600 meter race walk with a time of 10:15.24; Miranda Nicely in the 1600 meters at 5:39.30 and in the 800 meters 2:31.89; Sierra Hoes in the 400 meters with 1:06.11; Deanna Richards in the 3200 meters at 13:45.93; Justin Tracy in the 1600 meters with 4:42.89; Zach Veayo in the 400 meters at 57.01; Josh Horne in the 3200 meters with 10:35.21 and Brad Dwinal in the javelin throw best of 129.11 feet. Several athletes also placed in the top six places for their events which gains points for the team.

Next track meet is scheduled for 3:30 May 2 at Lewiston High School.
