WILTON – An innovative camp curriculum developed by a team of professional coaches will bring the Challenger Sports “British Soccer Camps” to Wilton this July.
Challenger Sports have teamed up with Wilton Recreation Department to host the week-long camp during the week of July 11-15 at Kineowatha Park. The camp will run Monday through Friday and each child will be coached by a member of our elite team of 1,200 British soccer coaches, hand selected, trained and flown to the USA exclusively to work on these programs. Challenger Sports will hold over 4,000 Soccer programs this year and we will coach over 225,000 players between the ages of 3 and 19.
The Challenger camp culture is centered around making learning fun and their British coaching staff are famous for the way they are able to entertain, engage and educate the campers throughout the week.
Challenger’s unique 1,000 touches coaching syllabus provides an innovative daily regimen of foot skills, moves, juggling, tactical practices and daily tournament play which will enhance technical skill. But it’s not just about the game. Challenger Sports use soccer to teach Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Leadership and Sportsmanship.
Then there’s the ever popular Camp World Cup, bringing both friendly competition and cultural variety to each day. The daily tournament gives campers the chance to represent a world cup team, with extra points being awarded for them making up chants, wearing the team colors of their chosen country, creating flags, and learning as much as they can about their chosen countries culture.
Wilton Recreation is offering “British Soccer Camp” sessions for the following ages:
Ages 3-6 – First Kicks – 8 a.m. – 9 a.m. – $73
Ages 7-14 – Half Day – 9 a.m. – noon – $133
Each camper will receive a free Camp T-Shirt, a free Ball, a free Soccer Poster and a personalized skills evaluation. In addition, any child who signs up online with challenger at least 45 days prior to camp will receive a genuine British Soccer Replica Jersey (value $39).
