Roadrunners basketball split doubleheader against Wiscasset

Girls: Wiscasset 30, Mt. Abram 16

SALEM – Mt. Abram hosted the Wolverines of Wiscasset High School and fell to an 0-5 record by a score of 30-16. Leading scorers for Mt. Abram were Olivia Ryan with 4 points and Megan Sorel, who also chipped in with 4 points.

Wiscasset (3-4) leading scorers were Alecia Faulkingham with 10 points and 4 other players had 4 points.

Mt. Abram’s next game will be Monday, Dec. 22 at Dirigo High School in Dixfield starting at 5:30 p.m.

Boys: Mt. Abram 63, Wiscasset 48

SALEM – In the second contest of the evening, Mt. Abram improved to a 2-4 record by dominating the Wolverines at the free throw line in a 63-48 victory. Twenty-three of Mt. Abram’s points came from the foul line.

Leading Scorers for Mt. Abram were Quinton Hanna with 19 points and 14 rebounds, Tristen Dyer with 12 points and 10 rebounds and Danny Luce chipped in with 11 points.

Leading scorer for Wiscasset, (2-5), was Brandon Sprague with 15 points

There next game will be Tuesday, Dec. 30 at Monmouth High School, starting st 5:30 p.m.
