CARRABASSETT VALLEY – Located just sixty miles apart, The Sugarloaf and Belgrade Lakes Golf Clubs have long been the premier golf destinations in the state; this summer they’re teaming up to host Maine’s ultimate golf challenge, The Inaugural ThirtySixSixty golf tournament, on Sunday, July 17.

The one day, 36-hole tournament will feature one 18-hole round at each course, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus chartered transportation between venues.

For years, the two courses have been ranked as the top two golf courses in the state of Maine by Golf Digest, as well as being named two of America’s Top 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses by GolfMagazine.

“Many of our guests and members split their time between the Sugarloaf and Belgrades Lakes golf courses during the summer,” said John Debiase, Sugarloaf Golf Club Manager. “This one-of-a-kind golf experience will provide them the opportunity to play all 36 holes, in just one day.”

The day’s competition will begin at 6am with breakfast at the Sugarloaf Golf Club, followed by a 7 a.m. shotgun start, 18-hole scramble format. At 11:45 a.m., golfers will enjoy lunch and ice-cold refreshments aboard a chartered bus, en route to Belgrade, where the second 18-hole round will begin at 1:30 p.m. Upon completion, golfers will enjoy dinner and awards, overlooking the scenic Belgrade Lakes, with chartered transportation back to Sugarloaf at 6:30 p.m.
