JAY – Franklin County Women’s Softball League completed a successful second year with the league championship game.

The Bench Warmers, led by co-captains Mandi Currier and Betsy Dorr claimed the 2016 championship by a marginal win over the Royal Rebels, led by captain Vicky Kinsey.

The Franklin County Women’s Softball League is a modified fast-pitch league currently comprised of five teams: The Bench Warmers, The Chickadees, Cleats & Cleavage, The Pitch Slappers, and The Royal Rebels, all from within Franklin County.

The league is hoping to expand to more teams, particularly teams from Northern Franklin County (Strong, Phillips, Kingfield, and Rangeley), in order to create a Northern Division but welcome all women who are 18 and over who would like to join the league. For more information, please contact either Susan Stinchfield at 207-578-1208 or Vicky Kinsey at 207-491-4437.

Royal Rebels, led by captain Vicky Kinsey, were runners up after a close game for the championship against The Bench Warmers.
