UMF top seed in NAC East Field Hockey Championship

FARMINGTON – The University of Maine at Farmington has claimed the top seed for the 2016 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) East Division Field Hockey Championship, which begins with a pair of semifinal matchups today.

The Beavers (9-4 overall) earned the top seed in the conference tournament after posting a 4-1 record in NAC play. On Wednesday afternoon at Prescott Field, UMF will host No. 4 Thomas (4-11 overall, 2-3 NAC). No. 3 Colby-Sawyer (11-5, 3-2) will travel to No. 2 Husson (4-1, 7-6). Both semifinal game times will be announced early next week.
