FARMINGTON – Senior Avalon Amador scored two goals and two assists in University of Maine at Farmington’s (7-7), 4-0, victory over Univeristy of Maine at Presque Isle Saturday afternoon in the non-conference finale.

Keli McLellan scored her third goal of the season in the 14th minute. Amador found herself in the corner, sent a cross over the box and the Owls’ defense to McLellan, who fired a shot into the back of the net.

Amador added an unassisted goal two minutes later when she dribbled through the defense inside the box and sent the one-timer into the top right corner of the goal giving UMF the, 2-0, advantage.

Sarah Pokorny added to the Beavers’ surge with a goal less than 10 minutes into the second half. Amador sent a cross from the far side and Pokorny was there to boot a liner into the right side of the goal.

Amador contributed the game’s final goal in the 56th minute. Amador took advantage of a deflection off an Owls’ defender and scored her seventh goal of the season.
