WMU U-12’s Suffer Defeat in Lewiston-Auburn

The WMU U-12’s got this weekend’s action started off on the right foot – literally. Aidan DeCarolis fired home a first-time strike into the top corner on a WMU counter-attack. LAYSA scored before the break from what appeared to be from an offsides position. Early in the second half LAYSA struck again, slotting home a left-footed shot on a break away. WMU nearly brought it even, redirecting a corner just over the bar late in the second half.

U-14 Allen loses their first game in heartbreaking fashion 4-1

In a back and forth game, Bonney Eagle of Standish scored in the last minutes off of a corner kick to beat Western Maine United 4-3. Tyson Hill continued his torrid scoring streak with 2 goals (6 goals on the season) and Kenyon Pillsbury (3 goals on the season) added another just into the second half. Evan Allen continues to be the playmaker as he dished out 2 more assists (6 assists on the season). Defensively Summer Ross, Harry Walters and Dylan Starbird continued their positive performances in the back. Ethan Powell made 5 saves on 9 Bonny Eagle shots. Bonny Eagle is the 3rd ranked team in the Soccer Maine Division 2 standings.
