NEW LONDON, N.H. – The University of Maine at Farmington women’s soccer team (2-6-1, 0-2-1) were held in check on Saturday with a 3-0 loss at Colby-Sawyer College in North Atlantic Conference play.

Kelsey Campbell pushed Colby-Sawyer into the lead, only a second shy of the fourth minute, when her shot deflected off UMF keeper Sam Hatch.

Coming out the break, the Chargers added to their lead when Campbell tallied her second goal of the game in the 46th minute. Lizzy Jorgensen sent a cross to Campbell, who lined a shot into the lower left side of the net.

Jorgensen scored a goal of her own in the 59th minute for the final margin of victory.

Hatch recorded four saves in the first 64 minutes of action for the Beavers. Kiana Thompson made her first-career appearance in goal for UMF in a relief effort. Thompson saved all six shots on goal that came her way.

UMF travels to New England College on Sunday to continue conference play.
