The Strong Fire Department Auxillary held a very successful Chicken BBQ,Friday at Beal's Variety parking lot. The entire amount of chicken was sold out just before the 6 p.m. Pierpole Day parade and before the downpour. The Auxillary wishes to thank the community for their support as well as Troy and Debbie Romanoski, Vern Romanoski, the Steven Boyd family and members of the fire department. Watch for upcoming Auxillary events that are in the planning stages for the coming winter.

Hope Harvest Community Garden celebration

Logging Museum Auction Promises Fun and Treasures
On Saturday, July 5th, at 10 a.m., the Rangeley Lakes Region Logging Museum will hold its annual fundraising auction at the Museum Building on Route 16, one mile east of Rangeley. Free Summer Art Workshops Offered for Teens
Franklin Community Health Network (FCHN) is again offering six weeks of accelerated art instruction this summer for teens ages 13-16. The program will teach the crafts of painting and papier-mâché and will ultimately provide art for the new Franklin Health Medical Arts Center, located next to Franklin Memorial Hospital and opening in July. Ski Museum Setting up New Exhibit
The Ski Museum of Maine, located at 109 Church Street in Farmington, will be closed until Wednesday, July 2 as they set up a new expanded exhibit. During this time the Museum will also be re-locating all of their storage, office and exhibit items onto the first floor of the Church Street Commons Building. This will allow the Museum to have everything at a walk-in level, and will allow for a much larger space to display the increasing number of artifacts and memorabilia. Farmington selected to participate in historical preservation program
